The Oak Furniture Gallery was established in downtown Bakersfield in 1997 by Mike Alexander. Mike had a vision of providing a line of furniture that is not only nice to look at but is also durable and priced so that the average family could afford to buy it.

Oak has the reputation of being one of the hardest and most durable woods available, is attractive and can be produced at a reasonable price. Therefore, Mike decided to sell primarily oak furniture at the Bakersfield store, but we also offer pieces in other types of wood such as pine, birch and walnut.

Our success has been due to the continuous practice of providing a diverse variety of high quality furniture at very reasonable prices. No other furniture stores in the area can really compete with our prices.
